Japan is one of my favourite countries and I never tire of visiting the vibrant, exciting capital city Tokyo, beautiful historic Kyoto, and the fun-filled city of Osaka.

Join me at UK Travel Club to experience the incredible culture, history, and natural beauty of Japan with like-minded travelers. With everything taken care of, all you have to do is pack your bags and get ready for an unforgettable journey.

 

On this amazing 7 night adventure we will be spending four nights in Tokyo and three nights in Kyoto with a day trip to Osaka and Nara. The tour includes your economy flights, 7 nights hotel accommodation, bullet trains both ways from Tokyo to Kyoto and Kyoto to Osaka, day trip to Osaka, and tours in Tokyo, Nara, Osaka, and the Mount Fuji area.

My tour is customisable, so if you wish to fly to Japan earlier or depart later to add additional days, amend a hotel, add a different tour or upgrade to a different class or airline, this can all be arranged (as long as availability exists, and subject of course to extra cost). Just let me know your needs and I will do whatever I can to tailor your perfect trip.

Day 1

Tokyo

After arriving in Tokyo and transferring to our hotel, today we take things easy, with free time for you to explore your surroundings and check out the shops and restaurants. In the evening I will take you to Shibuya Crossing "the busiest pedestrian intersection in the world" for a stroll and photo op. 

DAY 2

Tokyo

We start the day with a visit to the tallest tower in Japan, The Skytree, where the 350m high deck provides the best panoramic views of the biggest city in the world, We will then have some free time for lunch and perhaps do some shopping in the mall beneath the tower before moving on to our next stop, Sensoji Temple, the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo. Afterwards we will have plenty of time to take in the exotic Nakamise market in the temple grounds before returning to our hotel late afternoon.

Day 3 

Tokyo (Mount Fuji)

Today you will be transferred onto to a full day self-guided tour to Mount Fuji, where you will have the opportunity to explore breathtaking Mount Fuji’s surrounding popular tourist landmarks and landscapes including Oishi park and Oshino Hakkai. This is one of my very favourite day trips from Tokyo.

Day 4

Kyoto

Today we will leave Tokyo for an exciting Shinkansen "bullet train" journey to our next destination, Kyoto. Travelling by bullet train is an adventure in itself, and we may catch another view of Mount Fuji en route. After checking in to our Kyoto hotel, in the evening we will have a walking tour of Kyoto old town and Yasaka Jinja temple. If we are lucky we might spot Geisha.

Day 5

Kyoto (Nara)

We start the day riding the Nara express train to the UNESCO World Heritage site, Nara City. As well as visiting the local shops and shrines, at Nara Park we will be able to feed the gorgeous deer. Returning to Kyoto we will visit the amazing Arashiyama district and stroll through the world famous bamboo grove and surroundings before we make a short stop at Japan's biggest electronics market.

Day 6

Kyoto (Osaka)

Today we will again be riding the bullet train, this time for a day trip to the fun-filled city of Osaka. We will see the famous landmarks of the city including Dotonbori, Shin Saibashi Market and the Jinja Temple. This is the perfect place to shop for souvenirs and gifts for your loved ones.

Day 7

Tokyo

This morning we return to Tokyo by bullet train and after checking in to our hotel we will vIsit the magnificent imperial palace grounds. In the evening we will head to Shinjuku for breathtaking views of the city by night and perhaps a drink or two to say goodbye to Tokyo. The following we will transfer to the airport for our flight back to London.

Terms & Conditions

  • To reserve your place, a non-refundable deposit of £750pp must be paid in advance at the time of booking to secure the flights.

  • The remaining balance to be paid six weeks before the departure date.

  • ​Once booked, this tour is non-refundable, non-cancellable and non-transferable.  

  • Cancellations made more than six weeks prior to departure will forfeit the deposit but not be liable for any additional charges. 

  • If the balance is not paid six weeks prior to departure your holiday may be cancelled.

  • In case of rainy weather, tours will go ahead as planned so don't forget to bring an umbrella to stay dry and enjoy the beautiful sights.

  • because of the many walking tours this trip is unsuitable for those with mobility issues.
